This is where John spins wood and spends most of his time.

Part of the garage has been closed off and a dirty great workbench and a wood lathe were installed. To this was added a band saw, dust extraction, lighting, and a myriad of hand tools and turning chisels.

The West Auckland studio is all about a place to turn wood, to create and to provide a place of solitude and calm. In this atmosphere John is able to draw his designs, sometimes on the wall, sometimes on paper and then turn them into beautiful wooden creations.
